Self catering cottage, McGregor, Western Cape, South Africa
Santosha is a spacious self catering thatched cottage for two, in a quiet garden with roses and lavender. The cottage has a large lounge with sofas, TV and a fire place. There is fully equipped kitchen with hot plate, microwave, fridge etc. and a dining area inside the cottage or outside in the garden. There is a large en suite bathroom with double shower and fluffy towels. Also there is a spacious double bedroom with queen size bed. Fresh linen and towels are supplied. The cottage is ideal for two but a mattress is available for children. There is a large secluded courtyard garden with a shaded braai area with picnic table, chairs and umbrella. We are pet friendly and love them! Santosha is located in a quiet part of McGregor but within a few minutes walk of the many restaurants in the village (See below) and the Krans Nature Reserve. It is also a minutes walk from the dam ( see photo in Gallery) in which you can safely swim.
McGregor McGregor is charming and is considered one of the best examples of a mid-nineteenth century townscape in the Cape. The Village has been described as "One of the Jewels of South Africa" . The village is just 15 minutes from Robertson and two hours easy drive from Cape Town. The nearby route R62 is the longest wine route in the world with over 50 wineries. McGregor also has nine wineries who welcome visitors.
